Patients go back home the same day and usually resume light activity within the first week. Exercise should be held off for 3 to 6 weeks, based on the complexity of the surgery.

Larger incisions performed to remove excess skin will leave surgical scars, however they are usually placed in areas that will be covered with underwear and swimsuits.
