Liposuction & Liposculpting

While in the same “cosmetic family” as liposuction, liposculpture is a more advanced cosmetic surgery. Liposculpture is designed to perform more extensive body contouring through the removal and reshaping areas of fat deposits. It is used to enhance the definition of muscles and remove fat from problem areas. Liposculpture is used to achieve precise and impactful body sculpting results not achievable with standard liposuction. Liposculpture is not typically used for large weight loss results.  Liposculpture and Liposuction are surgical procedures used to permanently remove excess fat from any area of the body.

We perform Liposculpture in most of our patients as well as standard liposuction in patients with larger amounts of fat excess. These procedures are done in our cosmetic center with local anesthesia (tumescent) and mild sedation. This type of anesthesia has been around for more than 30 years. Tumescent liposuction is one of the safest procedures performed in the office setting.

In General, most of our patients return to work 3 to 5 days after their procedure. They have to wear a binder or body shaper for 3 to 4 weeks. Patients may have mild to moderate pot-procedure swelling for 1 or 2 weeks. they do not have drains and bruising is rare.  Skin incisions are small and do not need stiches, they are made in less visible areas or natural folds of your body.
