Thread Lift

Also called lunchtime or feather lift, thread lift is a minimal invasive alternative to surgical facelift for patients who are not willing to tolerate a prolonged post-operative recovery of the traditional surgical facelift and are willing to accept reduced efficacy.  A thread lift uses absorbable material to lift and contour the loose skin and tissue of your face and neck for a smoother and younger look. Besides, the fine threads help to stimulate the natural production of collagen which helps the facial and neck tissues to get firmer and healthier over time.

Seasoned cosmetic surgeon Dr. Ramos offers a facial and neck thread lift treatment, he mainly uses Silhouette InstaLift threads. This thread uses a cone shaped structure that pulls and anchors the subcutaneous tissue and skin in a sustained, efficient and reproducible manner that other threads can’t. The cone designed reduces the risk of thread migration, extrusion, or dislocation.  Most PDO threads do not pull the skin at all, they are inserted under the skin only to stimulate collagen. Some threads have barbs that anchor and pull the skin, however the barbs are small and loss their pulling effect in a few weeks due to faster degradation of the small and thin barbs compared to the Silhouette Instalift cones.

A thread lift can help patients with mild to moderate sagging of their face and neck. This procedure can be performed along with fillers, Botox, Xeomin or Dysport, to improve volume loss and wrinkles.

A thread lift is performed with local anesthesia and the procedure takes about one hour. First, we determine the best vectors that will lift your face or neck then, the entrance and exit points will be numb with local anesthesia. Afterwards, a fine needle inserts the thread under your skin, then the thread is tightened by carefully pulling both ends, this minimally invasive procedure lifts your droopy face or saggy neck causing instant rejuvenation with minimal to no downtime.
