Miniaturization of the hair follicle is the clinical hallmark of balding. Research has found that stem cell residing in the scalp near by the hair follicle remain inactive at persistent numbers, however the conversion of these stem cells to progenitor cells, required to stimulate hair follicles and hair cycling is reduced in balding patients.

This hair rejuvenation treatment, is a non-surgical procedure that uses patient’s own growth factors and stem cells to help stimulate hair growth and to prevent hair from falling out. Injecting PRP and ALMI into the scalp also speeds up the rate of hair growth. This treatment is safe and effective treatment for both men and women.

The process involves obtaining a small amount of your fat tissue and blood and placing them in a specialized machine to obtain growth factors and stem cells. After numbing your scalp, microneedling is performed to create micro-channels in the scalp to allow the PRP and stem cells to penetrate deep into the skin, then the concentrated solution is applied into bald or thin hair areas. It usually takes about 6 months to see optimal results of hair growth after completing a minimum of three treatments four to six weeks apart.  There is no recovery period after this procedure, however some patient may develop mild swelling and discomfort in the treated areas. These symptoms may last up to two days.
